Alright, my culinary comrades.

Here's what Rich Chef Poor Chef has done since launch. Two awards. Twelve publications. Six months. No ad budget behind any of it.

1,895 copies in the first 12 days. No. 1 in 22 categories across 6 countries. Featured by CEO Times, Associated Press, Fox47, Barchart, and more.

Something is happening here. And it isn't a marketing budget. It's the book.

For anyone new, a quick introduction. I'm Yusuf Yaran. Bestselling author of Rich Chef Poor Chef, Guinness World Record holder, Culinary Olympian who competed for Türkiye on the world stage, researcher, and financial markets trader. I write about wealth, mindset, and career in plain chef's language. No textbook theory. No fancy jargon dressed up to sound clever. Just what I've watched work, and what I've watched destroy careers, from five-star hotel kitchens to the charts on my screen.

Rich chefs think differently. And I want to show you how.

The two awards

Back to back, six months apart.

First, Best of Best Review named Rich Chef Poor Chef the Best Business Book of Hospitality and Career Category in the United States of 2026. They pointed to the mix of elite culinary experience and practical wealth-building. Financial literacy. Leadership. Career sustainability in hospitality.

Then Evergreen Awards named it Best Self-Help and Career Development Book in the United States of 2026. They talked about the structured approach. The career development. The long-term professional growth for the global hospitality industry. Not motivational fluff. Practical, experience-based guidance.

Two awards. For a book written by a chef, for chefs.

Then the press came

And this part still gives me goosebumps.

CEO Times pulled a section I never expected to land the way it did. They quoted me: "I trade markets the way I plated desserts. Mise en place, forecast the ingredients, control the timing. Position sizing is portion control. Risk management is fire control." They called that analogy structural, not decorative. A kitchen and a trading floor run on the same logic. Discipline. That's the spine of the whole book.

USA News ran "The Burgundy Car That Changed an Industry." They chose one of the most emotional sections of the book. My late uncle, Chef Kemal Çetin. One of Mengen's proud. One of the first Executive Chefs of Istanbul's first local five-star hotel, Çınar Hotel Yeşilköy. His burgundy Doğan, plate number 34 H 8449. That car started everything for me. USA News saw it. Chef prodigy to bestselling author.

Fox47 called out the missing piece in hospitality. No structured financial education inside culinary and hospitality training. That's the gap the book fills.

The Leader Report ran "From Kitchen Chaos to Capital Discipline: How One Chef Rewired the Rules of Wealth." They took the book from chef's language into layman's language. Beautifully done.

USA Wire boiled the whole book down to four lessons. Ego is more expensive than errors. Champions ignore their own festivities. The most expensive item you can buy is comfort. And other people's stories about your life are not your life. They wrote about the Chaîne dinner we served in 1999, and the rocket and lemon bread lesson I learned from Chef Maximilian Thomae. That story matters to me. USA Wire saw why.

Associated Press. Founded in 1846. They called Rich Chef Poor Chef the only dedicated financial framework for chefs and hoteliers in the world's largest service industry. That one still doesn't feel real.

Barchart, the premier financial technology platform, ran with the financial literacy angle. They mentioned my experience across 15+ countries. Workforce conditions. Compensation structures. The real gap.

News Break framed it perfectly. "Hospitality Industry Wealth Gap Identified in New Publication." They filed it under business and entrepreneurship. Not culinary. That was on purpose. This is a career book, not a cookbook.

There's more. New York Headline. Street Insider. Marketers Media. Arizona News Today. The Daily Dispatcher. VN Reporter. Fort Wayne. Market Sanctum. The Headline. Metro News. Florida Headline. Financial Capital. Malaysian Talks. Asia Shift.

The honest part

I'm sharing all of this because good news is worth sharing. The world is loud with negativity. This is my small push in the other direction.

A book sells nearly 2,000 copies in 12 days. Hits No. 1 in 22 categories across 6 countries. Wins two awards inside six months. Gets picked up by the Associated Press, Barchart, and CEO Times. That means something. Chefs and hoteliers have been waiting for this conversation for a long time. And it's finally happening.

The best time to read this book was yesterday. The second best time is about six minutes from now.

The full list of the original articles is right here on the site, and you can grab the book at richchefpoorchef.com.

Until next time, stay sharp, and keep cooking.

İki Ödül. On İki Yayın. Altı Ay.

Kıymetli mutfak yoldaşlarım.

İşte Rich Chef Poor Chef'in çıkışından bu yana yaptıkları. İki ödül. On iki yayın.

Evvela, Best of Best Review, Rich Chef Poor Chef'i 2026 senesinde Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nde Otelcilik ve Kariyer Kategorisinin En İyi İş Kitabı seçti. Seçkin mutfak tecrübesinin pratik servet inşasıyla mezcedilmesine işaret ettiler. Finansal okuryazarlık. Liderlik.

Disiplin. Bütün kitabın belkemiği bu.

USA News, "Bir Sektörü Değiştiren Bordo Otomobil" başlığını attı. Kitabın en duygusal bölümlerinden birini seçtiler. Merhum eniştem, Şef Kemal Çetin. Mengen'in gururlarından biri. İstanbul'un ilk yerli beş yıldızlı oteli "Çınar Otel Yeşilköy"ün ilk İcra Şeflerinden. Bordo Doğan otomobili, plakası 34 H 8449. O otomobil benim için her şeyi başlattı. USA News bunu gördü. Aşçı dâhisinden en çok satan muharrire.

Fox47, ağırlama sektöründeki eksik parçaya işaret etti. Mutfak ve otelcilik tahsilinin içinde düzenli finansal eğitimin yokluğuna. Kitabın doldurduğu boşluk tam olarak bu.

The Leader Report, "Mutfak Kargaşasından Sermaye Disiplinine: Bir Aşçı Servet Kaidelerini Nasıl Yeniden Kurdu" başlığıyla çıktı.

Street Insider. Marketers Media. Arizona News Today. The Daily Dispatcher. VN Reporter. Fort Wayne. Market Sanctum. The Headline. Metro News. Florida Headline. Financial Capital. Malaysian Talks. Asia Shift.
